Eligibility Criteria for an AME DGCA course?

To pursue an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering( AME) course approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation( DGCA) in India, campaigners generally need to meet the following eligibility criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have completed 10+ 2( intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics( PCM) as mandatory subjects.
Alternately, applicants who have a three-year diploma in engineering in any stream, recognized by the AICTE, are also eligible.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit is 16 times at the time of admission.There’s generally no upper age limit for applying, but campaigners should be suitable to complete the course conditions within the quested time frame.
Medical Fitness
Applicants must be medically fit, which generally includes passing a standard medical examination. Some institutes may bear campaigners to present a fitness instrument issued by a registered medical practitioner.
Vision conditions may also apply, particularly for tasks involving fine detail, though corrective spectacles may be respectable.
Citizenship
Indian citizens are eligible, but foreign citizens may apply with authorization from DGCA or applicable authorities.
Course-Specific Entrance test( Optional)
Some AME institutions conduct entrance examinations as part of their admission process, though not all do. Passing the entrance test( if needed) could be part of meeting the eligibility criteria.
DGCA Licensing Exams
After completing the AME course, campaigners must pass the DGCA’s licensing examinations to be eligible for an order A, B1, or B2 license( related to specific aircraft conservation tasks).
The course duration generally spans 2 to 4 times, depending on the type of program and the specific DGCA licensing conditions.
