Instructor – Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)
School of Aeronautics (SOACET) invites applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Instructor in the Department of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME). Responsibilities
• Deliver classroom lectures and practical training in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME).
• Conduct laboratory sessions, workshops, and aircraft maintenance practicals.
• Prepare lesson plans, technical training materials, and practical manuals.
• Demonstrate aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
• Guide students in projects, technical assignments, and industrial training.
• Ensure compliance with DGCA regulations and aviation safety standards.
• Maintain laboratories, aircraft components, tools, and training equipment.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic improvement activities.
• Attend faculty development programmes, seminars, and workshops.
• Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the institute.
Eligibility
• Qualifications should be as per DGCA/AICTE/Institute norms.
• B.E./B.Tech in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• DGCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (if applicable) will be an added advantage.
• Relevant teaching or aviation industry experience is preferred.
Preferred Skills
• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of Airframe, Powerplant, Aircraft Systems, and Aviation Safety.
• Excellent communication and practical demonstration skills.
• Laboratory and workshop management.
• Student mentoring and academic guidance.
• Familiarity with DGCA regulations and aviation maintenance standards.
