Q1. What is SOACET?

SOACET stands for the School of Aeronautics Common Entrance Exam. It is an entrance examination conducted by the School of Aeronautics for admission to their Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering, and integrated programs.

Visit the official website soacet.org, click on “Apply Now” or “Registration,” fill out the application form with required details, upload documents, pay the application fee, and submit. Download your application form for future reference.

You need 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (minimum 45-50% aggregate in PCM), OR B.Sc. with PCM, OR Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics. Minimum age 16 years.

SOACET is a multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based examination covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English/Aptitude. Duration is 2-3 hours. Specific details announced in the official notification on soacet.org.

Generally, applications cannot be edited after final submission. Some institutions provide a correction window for limited fields. Check soacet.org for edit facility announcements.

The admit card will be available on soacet.org approximately 1-2 weeks before the exam. Log in with your credentials, download, and print. Carry the admit card to the examination center.

SOACET qualifies you for admission to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering, and Integrated B.Tech + AME programs at the School of Aeronautics.

Yes, the School of Aeronautics is a DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training organization. Students completing AME training are eligible to apply for a DGCA AME license.

You need a passport-size photograph, signature, 10th certificate, mark sheet, 12th mark sheet (or B.Sc./Diploma certificates), ID proof (Aadhar), and category certificate (if applicable). All in scanned format.

Results are typically declared 2-3 weeks after the examination, tentatively in May 2026. Check soacet.org for the result announcement and download your scorecard.

After qualifying SOACET, candidates are called for counseling based on merit rank. Document verification is done, seats are allocated based on rank and availability, and admission is confirmed upon fee payment.
